Whispering Pines Pole Company is searching for an outdoors-loving person to learn to operate their proprietary peeling equipment, among other poleyard tasks. Pay scale $15-$25+ with benefits, DOE and demonstrated aptitude.

Site location is in Racetrack. Hours can be negotiated or flexed somewhat, but full-time, Monday-Friday, is preferred. This role requires concentration, developing an understanding of product inventory, quick decision making, and attention to safety protocols and machinery controls. The operator should be comfortable with standing, walking, lifting, and bending.

Due to an early fire season, King Mountain Forestry is seeking temporary summer help. Potential for transition to a full-time role. The right candidate will be able to perform hand labor and use a chainsaw safely and efficiently. All roles require outdoor work in varied conditions and terrain. An ideal candidate will be able to operate or learn to operate a skidder. Applicants must be at least 18 with valid drivers license. Possession of a current red or yellow card, previous firefighting experience, first aid/CPR, CDL, and other related skills are not required but will be considered--please note them on your resume.

Starting pay $13-$18/hr, DOE. This is an entry-level, temp role at this time. College students and recent graduates welcome.

SEASONAL opening on the King Mountain Forestry logging crew! We're looking for a recent grad, college student, or somebody interested in seasonal employment to help us out during the busy summer months. This role has potential to advance to full-time hire for the right applicant.

Our Deer Lodge timber company is looking for an all-around hand to assist with hand labor and mechanical tasks who is capable of learning a skidder operator role. Must be at least 18 with valid drivers license and eligible to work on federal job sites (no travel restrictions). Must be able to keep up with busy crew after a reasonable training period.

All KMF operators assist in maintaining their own equipment and will be expected to help others if other tasks need to be completed or a machine is down. Industry experience helpful but not required. Must be prepared to pass a physical and complete any required safety or site-specific training. Drug-free workplace.

This is a series of continuing industry education courses for forestry experts, including first aid, workplace safety, forest stewardship and other training updates. With ALP status, Forest has added significant classroom time to his many years of experience in the woods.
