Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with Rock Falls Tourism at Salute to America 250, starting TODAY and continuing through Sunday, June 14, 2026, at RB&W District Park (201 E. 2nd St., Rock Falls).

✨ TODAY – Saturday, June 13 Highlights:

Civil War living history camps featuring Generals Lee & Grant (open Friday through Sunday morning)
10 AM – 4 PM: Authentic artillery demonstrations by Taylor’s Battery – 1st Illinois Light Artillery Co. B
💥 Cannons fired every hour on the hour starting at 11 AM
9:30 AM – 4 PM: Civil War medical displays with Major Richard Conover (Ron Kirchgessner)
10 AM – 3 PM: Meet & take photos with Abraham Lincoln
11 AM: Patriotic music by the Rock River Valley Barbershop Chorus
1 PM: Declaration of Independence reading & historic presentations by President Lincoln, General Lee & General Grant
3 PM: Line dancing by River Country Stomp
7 PM: Evening concert by Rock River Jazz Band, Inc.
11 AM – 3 PM: Food, drinks & desserts from Rock Falls American Legion Post 902, Flip Side Coffee & Espresso Bar & Golden Meals Whiteside County

🇺🇸 Sunday – Flag Day (June 14):

~1:30 PM: Posting of Colors by Rock Falls American Legion Post 902
National Anthem performed by Alleigh Haines
2 PM: Patriotic concert by the 144th Army Concert Band
1 PM – 4 PM: Ice Cream Social with local churches & organizations

I'm looking for a rural area house on at least an acre. More is good too. Ranch would be awesome. In a 25 mile radius of Rock Falls. I have a cash buyer and can close in 4 weeks! I am waiting by the phone!

Join us for our 98th Season of Music Under the Stars! We begin our 10 week summer season on June 3rd at Grandon Civic Center. Pre-Concert entertainment at 6:15pm followed by the Municipal Band concert at 7:30pm. We are looking forward to a wonderful summer of Music Under the Stars! 🎶✨
