π‘ No credit score? That doesnβt automatically mean you canβt buy a home.
Before you run out and open three credit cards because someone told you that you have to build a credit score before you can even think about buying a house β talk to me first.
Some mortgage programs may allow buyers without a traditional credit score to qualify using nontraditional credit history β documented payments youβre already making, such as rent, utilities, and certain other recurring bills. FHA guidelines also allow manual underwriting for borrowers without traditional credit in certain circumstances.
Now, does that mean everyone with no credit score can qualify tomorrow? No.
Your income, debts, savings, payment history, employment and the specific loan program all matter.
But please donβt make financial moves based on something somebody told you β and definitely donβt disqualify yourself before a lender ever gets the opportunity to look at your situation.
You may not need three new credit cards.
You may not need to wait a year.
You may simply need the right plan.
π² Call me before you open that credit card.
Iβll connect you with the right lender so we can find out where you actually stand and what your first step toward homeownership should be.
