Who chooses the title company in Florida? The answer may depend on the county and what’s written in the contract.

What’s customary in one Florida county may not be customary in another, so it’s always important to review the contract carefully and understand who is selecting the title company and who is paying for the owner’s title policy.

When in doubt, ask your agent early, it helps avoid confusion and keeps the closing moving smoothly.
