The day a home goes live is always a mix of excitement and nerves.

As a seller, you’re wondering if people will show up, what they’ll think of your home, what the feedback will be, and if the offers will come.

Truthfully, I’m wondering some of those same things.

Did we price it right? Did we tell the story well? Did we do enough to make it stand out? Every listing is different, and no matter how many homes I’ve sold, there’s always a little bit of waiting and wondering once that listing goes live.

You can spend weeks getting a home ready, planning photos, talking strategy, and preparing for launch. Then suddenly it’s out there for the market to decide.

In this case, I think we hit the mark.

Multiple offers came in, the interest was strong, and I’m incredibly excited for my seller. Now we shift our focus to getting this one all the way to the closing table.

Thank you for trusting me with one of your biggest assets. I never take that responsibility lightly.

Real estate can be a little sketchy sometimes… but not because of the people.

Over the years I’ve walked through homes with soft floors, mystery smells, questionable DIY projects, and more than a few moments of, “I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking at here.”

Truthfully, my favorite part of this business is seeing things I’ve never seen before. The homes that stick out are rarely the perfect ones. They’re the ones with a story.

Like the house we had to sign a waiver just to enter.

Or the property where a well-known Realtor (who shall remain nameless 😅) had the wrong lockbox code listed and wouldn’t answer calls or texts while we stood outside trying to get in.

Or the time I opened a crawl space and found running water where there definitely shouldn’t have been water.

Every house teaches me something. Every showing adds another story to the collection. And, I still find myself curious about what we’re going to discover next.

No two homes are ever the same—and honestly, that’s one of the reasons I still love doing this.
