🏡🌳 Some homes are more than just houses. They hold decades of love, laughter, loss — and hope. 2531 Kreis Rd in Marion is one of those homes. The seller built this beautiful one-story home on 1.4 acres of family land with the love of her life. After he passed, she lived there on her own for many years, surrounded by the memories they had made together. A few years ago, she found companionship again, he had also lost his beloved wife of many, many years. Together, they made that home theirs. But as time went on, caring for him became more than she could do alone. With tremendous love and grace, she made the incredibly difficult decision to move them both to assisted living so they could receive the care they deserved. Her niece stood by her every step of the way through one of the most emotional and stressful seasons of her life. 💛 Selling this home was not easy. We pulled it from the market over the winter after receiving offers that simply didn't honor what this place represented. When we relisted in the spring, multiple offers came in — and here is where this story becomes something truly special. On paper, the offer she chose wasn't the strongest. But the buyer was a veteran — a first-time homeowner — and she felt it in her heart. She didn't choose the highest number. She chose the person she believed would love her forever home just as fiercely as she always had. She made a difference in someone's life. A young couple is starting their homeownership journey in a home built with love, on family land, full of stories worth honoring. There was stress. There were tears. There was nothing but love in every step of this transaction.
