If you are considering harvesting hardwood timber from your
land OR are considering selling some or all of your timberland, we would like an opportunity to work with you. If your goal is to clear cut or "high grade" your woodlot for the quick dollar, please call our competitors instead. If, however, you would like to obtain a fair price for your standing timber while maintaining a healthy, sustainable woodlot, still usable for your recreational enjoyment, please contact us. If you have 10 or more wooded acres of mature hardwood timber, we can help you. Our services include selecting and marking individual trees to be harvested (NOT a diameter cut), soliciting bids from our list of reputable, insured buyers, logging road layout, and restoration of your land after the harvest. We offer landowners their choice of harvesting methods using horses, small tractors or skidders, or a combination of these. We DO NOT, however, allow any mechanical felling or grapple skidding, due to our experience with the tremendous amount of damage to the residual stand caused by these methods. We also operate our own real estate brokerage, ANDREWS LAND and CAMPS. We leave selling houses to the other realtors who specialize in that. We are the only salespeople. We DO NOT hire a staff of agents, as we prefer to become very familiar with your parcel and feel we can do a better job that way of showing our buyers the attributes of your property. We DO NOT simply place a sign on your property and tell prospective buyers to go look at it on their own. Instead, we prefer to identify and clearly mark the property boundaries, open up any existing roads or trails and give tours of the parcel in our enclosed ATV. If you are considering selling wooded property, we can advise you whether it would be advantageous to remove the mature timber prior to selling the land or have us appraise the value of the timber and either add it to the value of the land, or perhaps reserve the timber for a period of time if the buyer doesn't want to pay the fair market value in addition to the value of the land. We also project growth rates of immature timber and provide a future dollar value on young timber lots.
