This is just sad:"The gap between Black and white homeownership is worse today than in 1968. " according to a new survey on realtor.com... not good. And more than 80%First- time home buyers QUALIFY for down payment assistance programs but only 13% utilize them.!!!!!
I'm sorry this comes back to the agents and lenders. I am an agent and I work with a lot of people who "think" they can't get a home and are discouraged by the media's portrayal of the the market. I find it very frustrating when clients have been misinformed and are cautious trusting the person walking them through the process. Know your agents intent, and background and stop googling everything for Heaven's sakes.
