Sometimes it’s the small things that cause the biggest problems.
We were out doing a Class H septic inspection yesterday, and when we popped the tank lid we noticed the effluent filter wasn’t seated all the way down where it belongs. Because of that, it was starting to clog up and restrict the flow leaving the tank. Over time something simple like that can lead to backups in the house or problems with the drainfield.
The homeowner had no idea anything was going on — and honestly most people wouldn’t. It’s not like anyone is lifting septic tank lids on a regular basis.
That’s exactly why inspections matter. We were able to catch the issue early, correct the problem, and now the system is flowing the way it should again.
A quick look at the right time can save a homeowner from a very expensive mess later on.
If you’re buying a home or just want to make sure your system is doing what it’s supposed to do, a Class H septic inspection is always a smart move.
