We wanted to share a crucial reminder for anyone in the process of buying a home: Always get a septic inspection before you close the deal! We've had two incidents this week alone where homebuyers were misled by their realtors about the status of the property’s septic system. In one case, a buyer was told the home was on sewer, but it turns out there was a septic system that had serious issues. The situation escalated so much that lawyers had to get involved. This is something none of us want to deal with—it’s stressful, expensive, and entirely avoidable. In another situation, a realtor claimed the property had a Low-Pressure Pipe (LPP) system in good working order, but in reality, it was a gravity system that was not functioning and now requires a full replacement.These kinds of oversights can lead to costly repairs and major headaches down the road.
