The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum of Delray Beach was honored with a prestigious Bernays Award, in recognition of its 2010 Living Heritage Day Festival.

The award was given by the Gold Coast Public Relations Council (GCPRC) at its January 28 Bernays Award luncheon at Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach. GCPRC judges recognized several successful marketing and PR campaigns executed by local firms and organizations.

Marketing and PR efforts on behalf of the 2010 Living Heritage Day Festival, an annual community fair along Northwest and Southwest Fifth Avenues in Delray Beach, was a combination of work done by museum staff and its consultant, Michelle Brown of Kaliah Communications, Inc. Museum Executive Director Daisy M. Fulton joined Museum Educator Brandy Brownlee to accept the honor.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for all the hard work and dedication that goes into creating this wonderful community event,” said Fulton. “Our staff, which includes Ms. Brownlee and Charlene Jones, works around the clock to make the Living Heritage Day Festival the success that it is, and I am very proud of them, our volunteers and supporters. It is definitely a team effort.”
