One week ago today, Nick officially became a first-time homeowner 🔑🎉

And what a first week of homeownership it has been. Northwest Indiana has been working through some pretty intense storm damage and power outages, and like so many others, Nick has been navigating the aftermath too, as the storm hit less than 1 hour after closing! Not exactly the peaceful first week anyone hopes for after closing… but he’s been handling it with such a good attitude, generator and all.

His closing still deserves to be celebrated, he deserves to be celebrated!

Nick’s story with me started exactly one year before we toured this home, when he called on a vacant lot listing I had. That call turned into a land purchase for a future home-building site, and exactly a year later, he saw this unique 1900 historic-style home , texted me, we toured it & I knew it just felt like the right fit.

The home was already in the process of going under contract with another buyer, but we moved quickly, got his pre approval updated same day (thanks Zach Prairie), secured a backup position, and when the first buyer didn’t remove their contingency, Nick was officially in 🌟

Inspection, appraisal, closing — and now, keys in hand for this Homeowner 🔑

Even a historic Northwest Indiana storm couldn’t stop this first-time homebuyer from making moves. 😅⛈️

We toured this home — along with a couple others — on Thursday, right in the middle of all the storm madness. She was ready, though, and didn’t want to keep waiting for the “perfect” time.

This one stood out. So cute, so many nice updates already done, and most importantly, it immediately felt like a really good fit for her.

We took our time, gathered some additional information, and put together an offer Saturday with a strategy in mind. The Seller countered and yesterday afternoon we were able to come together 🙌🏼

That makes me extra happy for this first-time homebuyer making such a big move. 🥹🫶🏼

We’ll keep the rest of her story tucked away for now…but for today --- She’s UNDER CONTRACT!! 🎉🏡

What a month ❤️

Feeling incredibly grateful to have finished #1 in Sales Volume at RE/MAX Executives for July.

The numbers are exciting, but they're really just the result of something much more important...and that's the trust that people continue to place in me.

CLOSED on Lake Shafer — lake life has officially begun for my buyers! 🌊🏡

7/30/26 😎 Last week, my buyers closed on their very first lake home on Lake Shafer, and I could not be happier for them.

These sweet buyers were referred to me by another Northwest Indiana agent I’ve known for a very long time, both personally & professionally. They had been helping them through the winter, and I had helped answer a few Lake Shafer questions along the way since this market is such a specific one with so many different areas on our lake. When he looped me in to help more directly, I was able to quickly narrow in on what they were really looking for…
