Job Summary:
As Field/Office Personnel at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting both field and office operations. This dynamic position requires a balance of hands-on fieldwork, assisting survey crews, and office tasks, including data processing, report preparation, and client communication. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with both outdoor and indoor work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and operating surveying equipment (total station, GPS, level, etc.).
- Perform field data collection and measurements in support of survey crews.
- Communicate effectively with field teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, charged, and calibrated.
- Document site conditions and maintain field logs.
Office Responsibilities:
- Process field data and convert measurements into usable formats for reports.
- Draft survey maps, plans, and technical drawings under the direction of senior staff.
- Provide administrative support for project management.
- Maintain and organize project files (digital and hard copy).
- Support client communication and scheduling as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certifications in surveying/engineering is a plus).
- Some experience with land surveying or civil engineering work is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Trimble, or similar) is a plus.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
