To help slow the spread of COVID-19, effective June 26, 2020, the Denton City Council has updated its disaster declaration and order, regarding face coverings. Businesses and non-profits that provide goods or services directly to the public must create and implement a health and safety policy, which requires all persons on their premises to wear face coverings.
These health and safety policies must be implemented by July 1.

-----------------------
Face coverings 😷 do not substitute the need for maintaining physical distancing↔️. Combined, they decrease the risk of spreading COVID-19.
Face coverings should:
Cover both the nose + mouth
Be washed after each use w/ hot water + soap
The city’s enforcement will focus on outreach and communication with businesses and non-profits. Residents may report concerns regarding potential violations of the order through the City’s Engage Denton App or online at https://bit.ly/2B3TRj3. 📲 For those without access to the internet, reports may also be made by calling (940) 349-8228.
