🏡 SOLD & CLOSED | 900 Memorial Dr. • Aubrey, TX

This one certainly has a story. ❤️

I first had the privilege of helping Ann and her late husband, Jim, purchase this home in 2021 as they made the move from out of state to North Texas. Their reason for moving was simple: family. Their daughter Colleen, son-in-law Ruben, and granddaughter Christina were also planning their move to the Denton area so everyone could finally be closer together with their son who was already here.

But as life often does, it changed the plans.

During the transition, Ruben experienced serious heart complications that delayed their family's move to Texas. Ann & Jim were already under contract on Memorial Drive, and after touring many homes, they knew this was the one. So they moved forward, trusting that eventually the rest of the family would make their way here too.

And they did.

A little over a year later, the family was finally reunited in NTX. Then, unexpectedly, Jim passed away. After some time, Ann decided her next chapter needed to bring her even closer to family. By what I can only describe as God's grace and incredible timing, we were able to secure her a new home directly across the street from them in Denton. ❤️

There was just one final chapter to close: selling the home on Memorial Drive.

After navigating a changing market, thoughtful planning, plenty of negotiation, patience, and a whole lot of love for this family, 900 Memorial Dr. is officially SOLD, CLOSED & FUNDED. 🎉

This closing is bittersweet, but it reminds me of something I never want to lose sight of in this business: Every person buying or selling a home has a story. And every home holds pieces of the lives lived inside it. Real estate may involve contracts, negotiations, numbers, and market conditions, but behind every transaction are real people navigating real seasons of life.

Sometimes our job is helping someone find their first home. Sometimes it's helping them move closer to the people they love & sometimes it's helping them close one chapter so they're able to fully step into the next.

Congratulations, Ann. Thank you for trusting me through so many chapters of your family's story. It has truly been an honor!

One of my favorite REALTOR® events of the year — our Annual GDWCAR TREPAC Auction!

But what exactly is TREPAC, and why does it matter?

TREPAC stands for the Texas REALTORS® Political Action Committee, and its mission goes far beyond the real estate industry. TREPAC works to promote homeownership, protect private property rights, and increase political awareness on issues that impact REALTORS®, homeowners, buyers, sellers, and communities across Texas.

For me, supporting TREPAC is about making sure the people we serve have a voice.

🏠 Protecting private property rights
🔑 Supporting opportunities for homeownership
📣 Advocating on issues affecting Texas property owners
🤝 Making sure REALTORS® have a seat at the table when decisions impacting our clients and communities are being made

The annual auction is also a great reminder that advocacy can be FUN. We get to come together as an industry, bid on some great items, raise money, and support a mission that directly impacts the communities where we live and work.

I’m proud to invest in TREPAC because being a REALTOR® should mean more than helping someone buy or sell a house. It means advocating for their right to own it, protect it, and build a future through it💓
