I just learned that the Pueblo chiles we all crave once September hits are different from Hatch chiles! I had always thought they were just Hatch chiles grown in Pueblo, but they are a pepper in and of themselves.

David Cook, a Colorado chef specializing in local cuisine, explained, “Hatch chiles are a distinct variety of regional pepper that produce long, pendulum-shaped pods. Pueblo peppers have a thicker skin and are larger and meatier.”

They’re hotter and heartier… making for a great Centennial State version of chile relleno. I can’t wait to try Cook’s recipe for relleno casserole this fall! It’s in the linked article: perr.co/greenchile

Sales are slowing with home pricing remaining steady. It’s pretty much the same story the Denver area real estate report has been telling for months.

I’ll tell you what I’ve been telling my clients:

If you’re a seller:
- Price your home based on what has SOLD in recent months. (Not what is currently on the market.)
- Buyers are leaning heavily toward move-in ready properties. Paint over scuffs, clean every baseboard, and consider staging.

If you’re a buyer:
- You might not have interest rates in your favor, but you do have a good amount of power. If you love a home, request the concessions that make the purchase worth it to you. Sellers are flexible right now because of the slow buying activity.

The Soda Club in RiNo is the new pasta place in town. But it's not your typical red sauce joint.

It just took over the former Super Mega Bien space in the Ramble Hotel. It’s a NYC Michelin Bib Gourmand transplant serving a wild, Sicilian-influenced spin on Italian (like cashew pepper butter sauce, cumin-carrot pizza, and a 200+ bottle natural w**e list with a dedicated "Huh?" section for weird pours).

I feel like I NEED to taste a “Huh?” w**e. Anyone want to join me?
