Big news for Real Estate/Realtors! The NAR (National Association of Realtors) Settlement came out today and although this feels like a big scary shift, it doesn't change as much as we think, and I think this is win-win for consumers and *Good* Realtors. This is an opportunity for our buyers and sellers to now find someone who is phenomenal and educated and provides value. Long story short, come July, sellers won't have to guarantee a set commission for any/all buyer's agents. Although commissions were always negotiable, this makes it clear that this is the case.

There always has and always will be bargain deals to be had when buying and selling real estate, an enormous deal; But this solidifies that you often get what you pay for. Talented, educated, honest, knowledgeable agents (aka me ;) will still get paid what they're worth, but the often low bar of agents will have to get better or cut costs.
