You do? You don’t? It’s been a rollercoaster the past few weeks being told as a realtor we are not essential, then we are essential, then we’re kinda essential, then we’re not essential! What is it!?

Here’s the new 411- during this time realtors can work, but we are being limited. What we can’t do: we can’t do in-person showings, in-person listing/buyer presentations, hire photographers for new listings, or do staging.

What we can do: virtual tours, set up inspections, appraisals can be done, walkthroughs and closings.

So if you’re already under contract, you are pretty set. If you want to go under contract site unseen, we’ve got virtual tours, or if you want to be ready to buy and sell as soon as this is over let’s make a game plan! Let’s set up searches, do virtual presentations, discuss lending, discuss how to get you and your home ready to list! We got this, it’s just a little hiccup!

Yes, my buyer and I are Under Contract even in this “new normal”... that is because buyers are still needing to find homes and sellers are still needing to sell! Showing homes and creating offers just look a little different now. My buyer needed to find a home before May, so when this huge condo in the exact complex he wanted popped up on the market we knew we had to be smart and act fast! So we equipped ourselves with Lysol wipes, gloves and hand sanitizer and made sure to be the first showing in the home so we could minimize any potential exposure from other showings. Once we walked in and knew this was his perfect home, we moved quickly to be the first offer in on this beautiful condo. In the end we weren’t even the highest offer, but we got it because we showed the listing agent and seller that we were serious and passionate about this home. We kept communication open with the agent and seller the entire time and eased a lot of fears about going under contract during this pandemic. We created solutions together should one of the parties get sick or should a government shut down affect our timeline so that we ensured we were all safe guarded!

If you’ve been worried about buying and selling please rest assured knowing that you will be protected as a buyer or seller through taking every safety precautions, new Covid-19 clauses, doing virtual tours, not allowing overlapping showings, minimizing contact with items in the home and a lot of air high fives!
