Originally from Colorado Springs, Nicole has been in Denver for the last 14 years and loves it. Nicole completed her undergrad and masters in accounting from DU, and worked in public accounting and recruiting before entering her career into real estate. After purchasing her first home, Nicole became interested in real estate and got her license shortly after. She worked alongside the same realtor who helped her purchase her first home. During that time, Nicole built her business, developed successful systems, and learned to best serve clients. Seeking more collaboration and mentorship, Nicole made the jump to Guide Real Estate. Nicole believes there are endless benefits to home ownership and that real estate is one of the most valuable investments a person can make. The process of buying or selling a home can be an intimidating, stressful, and confusing one, and she loves being able to guide and empower her clients throughout their journey. Nicole prides herself in being transparent, genuine, and negotiating fiercely in her client's best interests. When she’s not working hard for her clients, Nicole can be found spending time with her boyfriend, Scott, and three dogs. They enjoy hiking, checking out new restaurants, attending concerts, and being around friends and family.

I’m not quite ready to let Colorado summer go

Because summer here is one of those things that makes me remember exactly why I’ve stayed in Colorado for so long.

Farmers markets on the weekends

Pool days when it’s 95°

Singing and dancing to your favorite artist

Throwing the dogs in the car and being in the mountains in an hour

There is ALWAYS something to do here in the summer.

And I think that’s something people don’t fully understand until they live here.

Moving to Denver isn’t just about being closer to the mountains.

It’s being able to spend Saturday in the mountains and Sunday at a farmers market.

It’s concerts, patios, pools, day trips, neighborhood events and trying to fit as much as possible into the few months of summer we get.

If you’re looking for a summer, and honestly a life, that looks a little more like this… you might really love living here too.

If you’ve ever headed up or down I-70, there’s a good chance you’ve passed Idaho Springs without thinking twice.

Don’t do that next time.

This old mining town is only about 30 minutes from Denver, but once you get off the highway it feels like you actually went somewhere.

Historic buildings.

Mountain views at the end of the street.

Clear Creek running right through town.

And enough to do that you could easily turn a quick stop into half a day.

Here’s what I’d put on the list… ⤵️

âś… Walk Miner Street and explore the historic downtown

âś… Check out the many thrift shops or antique stores.

✅ Check out the ARGO Mill & Tunnel and learn why this little town is such a big part of Colorado’s mining history

âś… Soak at Indian Hot Springs

âś… Walk along Clear Creek

âś… Grab food, coffee or a brew downtown and just wander for a bit

âś… If you want more adventure, Idaho Springs is also surrounded by hiking, mountain biking, rafting and scenic drives

And this is probably my favorite part…

You don’t need to plan some huge mountain weekend to enjoy it.

It can be an easy stop for a quick bite, some views, and shopping.

Or maybe a pitstop to get out of I-70 traffic for a bit.

So next time you’re flying up I-70 trying to get somewhere else…

Take the exit.

Idaho Springs might actually be the destination.
