how to actually land the internship this summer β
β¦ lead with experience. not education.
β¦ "experience" = babysitting, volunteering, that bake sale in 11th grade. list it. frame it. sell it.
β¦ name their tools. their platforms. their metrics. shows you did the homework.
β¦ tailor every single resume. same template, different verbs. takes 10 mins. doubles your reply rate.
β¦ numbers, always. "grew instagram 40% in 3 months" > "managed instagram."
β¦ list the tools you actually know. canva. figma. excel. hubspot. capcut. specifics > vague.
β¦ cut: the objective statement. the photo. anything older than 3 years. "passionate about." "team player."
β¦ linkedin is your friend. fix your headline. add the experience. connect with people who have the job you want. yes, even strangers. especially strangers.
β¦ shoot your shot. dm the recruiter. dm the hiring manager. dm the person 2 years ahead of you.
β¦ apply to the job you don't think you'll get. job descriptions are wishlists, not checklists.
β¦ follow up after a week. one line. no apology.
okay. one application before bed. just one. that's the assignment.
save this. send to whoever's spiraling about applications β
