See what had happened was....
At this point in the night, I was still feeling hopeful. I told the reporter from Telemundo that I believed our votes would come in late and that we were still optimistic. You gotta stay positive on election night watch parties because otherwise it's a looooong night.
Here in Colorado, we couldn't have had a better night. Yes, CD 3 and CD 8 were a little less votes than we had hoped for. Despite that:
Women's rights were enshrined in the Colorado Constitution.
Marriage Equality won.
An effort to unfairly restructure our elections was defeated.
The siphoning of money away from public schools was defeated.
