CURB APPEAL TUESDAY: I just had my windows cleaned and I cannot tell you what a difference it makes. I hadn’t done it for a long time AND after my construction projects last year and the winter grime—they were soooooo dirty. You have no idea how such a simple act can make such a difference.

Also when I am showing houses, it really makes a difference and shows the seller’s attention to detail (or not). When you have your home ready to show, you want the potential buyers to be thinking of what a great fit it would be for them and/or their family AND NOT focused on all of the details that are distracting to them.

This is a super reasonable thing to do if you pay someone or something free if you do it yourself. I obviously decided to let a professional do it and I am so grateful.

GRATITUDE: One of the things I love most about real estate is educating people on the home buying process—even if you are not ready yet—so that you can learn about what it takes and make sure you are really ready when you are ready to purchase. By talking about it beforehand, it allows us to bust some of the myths, work through any potential challenges on your credit, put a financial goal together for saving, and it helps you envision what you want so that you can envision the dream in order to turn it into reality. If you are ready to buy now or won’t be ready for one, two or three years or more, it is never too early to start those conversations. I would also be honored by your referrals!
