Paired with the city's notoriously strict zoning ordinances, it will be interesting to see how this influx of well-paid professionals affects both the residential housing market and the continuous development of real estate outside of the city's traditional urban nodes.

Some interesting graphics coming from the WSJ. As both rentals and sales appreciate by averages of 10% yearly or above, it becomes a question of whether you want to own the asset. In Denver in particular, many rents are on par or exceed what someone's monthly mortgage payment would be. No matter how you slice it, waiting to by in this economy versus next year could mean losing tens of thousands of dollars in equity.
