Everyone wants to negotiate a great deal—but the lowest purchase price is not always the option that saves you the most money.

On a $500,000 home, a 3% seller concession equals $15,000. That money could potentially be used to:

🏷️ Reduce the purchase price and save about $95 per month
📉 Buy down the interest rate and potentially save about $242 per month
💰 Cover allowable closing costs and reduce the cash needed at closing by up to $15,000

Same $15,000. Three very different results.

The best strategy depends on your loan, available cash, monthly-payment goals, and how long you expect to own the home. Before submitting an offer, let’s look at where the seller’s money can create the greatest benefit for you.
