On this day 24 years ago, our nation changed forever. We remember and honor the lives lost on 9/11 — the bravery, the loss, and the resilience that still echoes in our hearts.

As we reflect, we also hold in our thoughts those hurt by the unnecessary recent events that happened yesterday — the passing of Charlie Kirk and the heartbreak reaching Evergreen’s high school students. Evergreen is local to us and hits close to home. Holding those we love very close today and praying for everyone involved.

Regardless of your political stance, both of these events should never have happened and are devastating. I know posting on social media won’t impact direct change, but hoping to remind everyone to spread kindness to those in their circles so that we can spread love and remember.
