A little bit about me...
I grew up in Littleton, CO, near the old “Southglenn Mall” (now the Streets of Southglenn.) I attended Powell Middle School and Arapahoe High School. Prior to living in CO, my family moved from CA to PA to OK due to my dad’s work in the oil industry. After settling in CO, I decided I didn’t want to leave. I attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins and graduated with a degree in Business Administration & Management. Motivated by my desire to help people, I decided to focus in Human Resources. After completing two HR internships in northern CO, I moved back to Denver where I continued my HR career with a major consulting firm and began my Masters degree studies at the University of Colorado - Denver, which I completed in 2002.
After 20 years in Human Resources, it hit me; I wasn’t passionate about my job. The stress of working a full-time, high-level job with a long daily commute while trying to balance the needs of my family and young son was wearing on me. At first, I thought I was just unhappy with my job; but then I realized, it was my career. My husband asked me what I would do if I could do anything. My answer: Real Estate. His response: Of Course!
After a lengthy process of interviewing friends in the real estate industry and friends who had made career changes (my HR background persisted) in order to learn and prepare myself for this leap, I left corporate HR and began studying for the national and state real estate exams. I passed both tests with flying colors in November 2017 and joined Equity Colorado Real Estate in January 2018. I have always been a bit of a bookworm, so the easy part was behind me; now the real work begins.
Building my own business from the ground-up is both terrifying and exhilarating. I am learning more than I thought possible, while feeling energized and refreshed by this new challenge. I am working hard to build brand recognition and “get my name out there.” I am attending all the training and seminars and webinars I can. I can’t believe I’ve been blessed with the gift to follow my passion. Thank you for joining me on my journey! Let me help you chase your dreams!
