This is why the over-sexualization of real estate bothers me so much.

It’s not about what another woman chooses to wear or do with her body. It’s about turning our profession into something that looks like a joke.

There are so many of us who work our tails off, take enormous pride in what we do, constantly educate ourselves, advocate for our clients, solve problems behind the scenes, sacrifice weekends, evenings & work/life balance, and show up every day with professionalism, grace & integrity.

This career is HARD. It is demanding, exhausting, emotional & incredibly time-consuming. And, many of us have spent years building the knowledge, experience & credibility that allows people to trust us with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

So, when the marketing becomes “look at me in my bikini selling houses,” it cheapens the profession.
Women have fought way too hard to be respected for our intelligence, expertise & capability for us to willingly reduce ourselves back down to our bodies for attention.

You can be beautiful. You can be feminine. You can have fun. (Even in a turtleneck 😂)

When you are representing your profession, I still believe professionalism matters.

You can feel it… the air is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter & Denver real estate is waking back up.
After July & August, which are historically VERY slow months for Denver real estate, we are heading into what is typically our second busiest season of the year.
From the week after Labor Day through about a week before Thanksgiving, we tend to see more buyers actively looking, more quality inventory hitting the market & a whole lot more hustle and bustle.
And I am READY for it!!
Fall in Colorado has always felt a little bit like a reset. New season, new energy & in real estate, new opportunity.
So, if you spent the summer sitting on the sidelines waiting to buy or sell, this is your sign to start paying attention again.

The fall market is here. Let’s get to work. 🍁🍂

Colfax needs EXTRA love from Denver right now.

Yes, there is construction. Yes, getting around can be a little chaotic. And yes, sometimes finding parking takes a little more effort than we would like.
But behind all of that construction are some incredible locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, bars and small businesses that are STILL open, still showing up and still serving the neighborhoods that make Colfax one of the most iconic streets in Denver.
So make the detour. Find the parking. Walk the extra block. Grab dinner at your favorite spot or finally try the restaurant you have been meaning to check out.
Grab coffee and tacos at VIVA! mexi·coffee·shop. Go to sắp sửa. Grab an amazing sandwich at Tessa Delicatessen. Stop into Good Bread. Have dinner at Molotov Kitschen + Cocktails, MEZCAL COLFAX, Yaqui Tacos Tequila Mezcal or Cafe Solene. Grab a burger at Atomic Cowboy. Pick up flowers from Moss Pink. Go antiquing at Antiques Etc. Get your vintage cowboy attire at THE SHOP OUTPOST: VINTAGE+ WESTERN MERCANTILE. Have family stay at La Vista Motel (seriously La Vista Motelport the places that have given Colfax its character for decades and the newer businesses helping shape what comes next.
While the Colfax transformation is exciting and will ultimately be a huge investment in this corridor, getting to the finish line is tough on the small businesses living through it.
They need us NOW.
