If you are getting a little tired of soaping up and sanitizing, I have some tips to help you keep your homes safe and families healthy: 1) Before you disinfect surfaces, do a quick pre-clean to remove any visible dust, dirt, or grime. 2) Use your cleaner or disinfectant exactly as directed on the packaging. 3) After disinfecting, let the surface air dry. It needs to stay wet for as long as is recommended in order to kill germs properly! 4) When disinfecting food contact surfaces or children's toys, rinse them with water once they have air-dried. 5) Throw disinfectant wipes in the garbage -- don't flush them!

With properties flying off the market these days, there isn't much work you need to put into your home before listing it. Here are some "do not fix" projects to make the listing experience simpler: 1) Kitchen or bathroom remodels are unnecessary unless the rooms are falling apart. 2) Bold paint colors. The buyers may want to repaint the house a color of their choosing. 3) New furniture to decorate the space. Use a stager, or remove old unwanted furniture if you believe it is devaluing your home. The bottom line: check with your agent to weigh your options before spending money on home repairs.

You can do many things in preparation for selling your home, the most important one being to use a qualified real estate agent and mortgage professional! 😉😉 Here are three things that you can do in the meantime to make your home sell faster: 1) Clean and declutter: Make sure your home stays clean since there will be many people coming in and out of the house. Staging is an important part of the selling process! 2) Make small repairs: A small repair can be fixing the cracks in the ceiling/stress marks, painting/patching the walls, servicing your HVAC, and getting your roof inspected. 3) Improve your curb appeal: Add some flowers, repaint the numbers on the curb of your home, power wash the house, add colorful planters, and trim all the hedges.
