Inventory Continues to Climb +22.9% from last June
The pandemic caused an extreme shortage of inventory, but listings are up now

With so few homes for sale these days, multiple offers have almost been a given. We are starting to signs of a shift in our offices for some submarkets.

While the market remains heated, Yun said sellers are now typically receiving less offers. Prices are still at all-time highs, but he points out that that tends to be a lagging indicator" said Lawrence Yun, the NAR’s chief economist.

“Maybe we have already turned the corner from super-hot to somewhat-hot.”

"At a broad level, home prices are in no danger of a decline due to tight inventory conditions, but I do expect prices to appreciate at a slower pace by the end of the year," Yun said. "Ideally, the costs for a home would rise roughly in line with income growth, which is likely to happen in 2022 as more listings and new construction become available," Yun added in an NAR release today.

In June 2021, month-over-month existing-homes sales were unchanged in the South but rose in the other three major regions of the U.S., and all four regions saw double-digit year-over-year gains.

My heart breaks for the family’s, affected in the tragic event that took place in old town.

As there are so many unknowns at this time I know one thing.

My respect and greatest gratitudes go out to those who protect our communities and sadly have had to risk their lives doing just that.
