📶 June 16 is Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity Awareness Day
For some individuals, everyday technologies such as cell phones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth devices, and power lines are associated with symptoms they describe as headaches, fatigue, skin discomfort, difficulty concentrating, sleep disturbances, and other health challenges. This experience is often referred to as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS).
While researchers continue to study EHS and there is ongoing scientific debate about its causes, the experiences of those affected are real to them and can have a significant impact on daily life.
EHS Awareness Day encourages us to approach the topic with empathy, curiosity, and respect. It is an opportunity to listen to personal stories, support continued research, and recognize the challenges faced by people who may feel isolated or misunderstood.
Awareness begins with listening. Whether or not we fully understand every condition, compassion costs nothing and can mean everything.
