20 years ago today I married the love of my life. We were just kids — full of hope, energy, and absolutely no idea how to tackle life’s challenges. We didn’t yet know how to truly love, how to grieve, how to parent, or how to succeed. But we held hands and faced it all together.
Coming back to Maui, to the same resort where we honeymooned, has been surreal. The sunsets are still magical, the ocean still calming — but everything feels deeper now. What we share today is stronger, richer, more alive than I ever could’ve imagined back then.
Kimberly, your strength humbles me. Through every hard season, you’ve shown what real strength and resilience look like. It’s been an honor to stand beside you. You lift me up, challenge me, and make me want to be a better human. You are my best friend, my love, and the person I still can’t stop looking at across the room. You’ve somehow only gotten more irresistible. I’d say it’s unfair, but I’m the lucky one.
I’m so grateful for the life we’ve built — for the laughter of our daughters, for the home we’ve created, and for the quiet moments no one else sees. And what excites me most? There’s still so much joy ahead. That’s what drives me every day — to keep growing, keep showing up, and keep becoming the man you deserve.
I love you, Kimberly. Every day with you is a gift I’ll never take for granted.
