Fireworks are illegal in Centennial
While there is currently no fire ban for Centennial residents, it’s important to remember only a handful of fireworks are allowed in the City. Staying consistent with the State of Colorado and Arapahoe County, “permissible fireworks” in Centennial are limited to those that do not explode, leave the ground or fly through the air. For example, sparklers, cones, snakes and fountains are now allowed. Centennial's firework limitations stem from the review of the feedback received from Centennial residents and discussions with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Districts.
The sale of all forms of fireworks in Centennial continues to be prohibited. In addition, the use and possession of all forms of fireworks will continue to be prohibited in parks and open spaces in the City. In the case of a fire ban, fireworks would be included and enforced by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, along with local fire and code officials.
Remember, fireworks can be dangerous. Please be responsible and help make this 4th of July safe and enjoyable for everyone. View Fireworks Safety Tips.
