Not a permanent victory. But a victory worth marking.

The concept plan to demolish Asia Center has officially been withdrawn from Denver city records.

For Tony of Tony Pho — and every tenant who’s been holding their breath since April — that means a little more time. A little more sleep. A little more space to figure out what comes next.

This doesn’t mean the fight is over. New plans will come. The landlord still decides what happens to this corner of Federal. But what the last few months proved is that this community is paying attention — and we’re not going quietly.

18,000+ signatures. Local and national press. Neighbors who’d never met showing up for businesses they grew up walking past.

The redevelopment plan for the Asia Center has been withdrawn. Over 18,000 signatures. Weeks of organizing. A community that refused to be quiet about the place that raised so many of us.

The concept plan for the Asia Center redevelopment at 1000 S Federal has been officially withdrawn.
Read that again. Withdrawn.

A proposal that would have demolished the longtime home of Little Saigon — replaced by 93 apartments and ground-floor retail — is no longer on Denver's desk. That happened because of 18,000+ signatures, news cameras, council conversations, and a community that refused to be quiet later.

This is the result of you.

But here's the part I need you to read carefully:
Withdrawn ≠ canceled.

City records still show the Project Master as "In Progress." Which means a new proposal can — and likely will — be filed. Same owner. Same intent. The pause is real. The fight is not over.

So we keep watching. We keep showing up. We keep telling the story of who was here first, what they built, and why it's worth preserving — not as nostalgia, but as the living, working, eating, gathering heart of a corridor that raised a lot of us.

A win is a win. Let yourself feel it.

I didn't get into real estate to sell square footage.
I grew up watching Federal Boulevard breathe. The restaurants my family went to. The shops that knew your name. The buildings that held entire communities inside them — communities that didn't have lobbyists or lawyers but had each other.

When I fight for the Asia Center, or Hop Alley, or Sakura Square — I'm not doing something separate from my real estate work. I'm doing the exact same thing.

Because here's what 12 years in this industry taught me: neighborhoods don't just have a market value. They have a memory. And when you erase the memory, you tank something that no appraisal can measure.

I sell homes in Denver. But I also believe that the people who've always been here deserve to stay here. That displacement isn't inevitable. That a listing can tell a true story about a place instead of just a price.
