I firmly believe that buying a house at a young age is one of the absolute best things you can do. Will owning a house make you “rich”? Of course not. But it lays a financial foundation where every month you’re building equity in SOMETHING. This is not insignificant.

Making progress towards a goal is addicting (in a good way), and it eventually shows up in other areas of your life. The younger you learn this, the better.

More important than the money itself is the mindset this habit unlocks.

Every goal in life worth pursuing is going to take a long time….and it’s going to require ongoing consistency more than temporary intensity. Too many people are trying to “get rich quick” when they should be focused on getting rich slowly.

In any endeavor, the price of success is usually just doing the same boring things over and over again….that most people aren’t willing to do. This is what creates results in the gym, in business, and ultimately, in life.

This is why cultivating the emotional discipline to pay a monthly mortgage is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

You might miss the best “dill" in town.
(Yeah, I said that 😅.)

This isn’t actually about pickles. It’s about the best HVAC company in Denver.

We recently had a client who was told by another HVAC company that it was “illegal” to certify a furnace that was over 20 years old.

Illegal.
That didn’t sit right with me.

So I called Jeff.
He literally laughed and said, “Hmmm… that’s news to me.”

Then he did what real professionals do. He didn’t guess or scare the homeowner. And he didn’t default to “you need a new system.”

He did a full inspection:
- Found and repaired a significant gas leak at the gas union
- Checked CO levels at the vent — zero
- Checked CO at the furnace — zero
- Verified blower amp draw — normal
- Verified inducer amp draw — normal
- Used a camera to inspect inside the heat exchanger — no cracks found
- Confirmed safe operating condition

And he repaired the gas leak at no additional charge.

Let that sink in.

He could have easily said, “The system's old. Time to replace it.” But instead, he verified the safety, made the repair, and signed off on it properly.

I’ve known Jeff for 25 years. I stood next to him as the best man at his wedding. And I’ve never seen him do anything halfway.

Jeff himself is a fourth-generation HVAC technician. He has generational knowledge. Not some YouTube certification and sales script.

He owns and operates Pickle Heating & Air, and he brings that level of precision and accountability into every job.
