Since I'm about to turn 29 ;-) on Saturday, I'd thought it'd be fun to share 29 life lessons. I hear I look 10 years younger than I really am, so you know - I'm going to rock & roll with that!
1. Smile and have fun, because why not?
2. Breathe more, and deeper (from your belly not your chest).
3. Do the scary stuff, after you survive it makes you feel more alive. I've walked over fire, I've been scuba diving with the big scary sharks, I've spoken on stage to hundreds (and those have become life motivators to do even bigger scary things).
4. People are going to judge you whether you "do" or "don't", so say f**k it and do what YOU want to do (always).
5. Unless they are in the arena with you, they don't actually know. If you're looking for advice, seek it (and pay) from those who are actually IN the arena with you.
6. YOU are your biggest competition and collaboration.
7. If it's not a f**k yes, it's a f**k no.
8. You train people how to treat you. And if they don't know you, you'll train them how to treat you after ;-)
9. If you have trouble making choices, find a way to have the AND... chocolate AND vanilla, f**k yes please.
10. There's endless ways you can make a living these days, so do what you want (seriously, a guy on shark tank drew cats with permanent markers and made millions).
11. You are NOT the thoughts you think. We have over 70K thoughts a day, 80% of them are repetitive (and often negative). YOU have the power to change them. Awareness is the first step.
12. Talk to strangers. Every friend was once a stranger.
