It’s event and fundraising season! I had a great time this past week emceeing my 7th Von’s Vision fundraiser and moderating a fantastic panel for a CSU Football dinner.

It’s always fun to hang with Von and watch his foundation grow. Originally he wanted to help 2 or 3 kids… now he’s put glasses on over 11,000 kiddos! I also got to see one of my old favs Shelby Harris and share the stage with auctioneer Vic Lombardi.

The panel for CSU Football consisted of Jim Mora, Dave Logan, Jesse Nading and Mike Sanford. What a vast depth of football knowledge between those four! The crowd was definitely entertained.

More events on the way… so blessed to be part of them! 🧡💙💚💛

I can't wait to get back on the sidelines and the KOA Colorado airwaves for this upcoming season 🧡💙

I have a lot of jobs and while I love them all, nothing tops the job of being a Mom. ❤️ Thank you Justin and Samantha for giving me this title and being my everything!

Two quick thoughts: when your kids get older and spread their wings, get pictures with them (together) with you every chance you get. I could not find a recent photos with just me and the kids. 😩

Second: this is my 2nd Mother’s Day without my mom. If your mom is around, take advantage of being able to talk to and/or see her. It’s a big empty on days like today when they are gone. Same goes for dads. It’s been way too many Father’s Days without mine. 💔

Celebrate your loved ones and Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

Run it back. Different year, same outcome and still so humbled to receive more CBA awards. For a 3rd straight year, my Sideline Stories pregame piece won Best Sports Feature. I can’t thank producer Alan Jackson enough for making these pieces spectacular and a huge thank you to Broncos players who have fun with my questions and themes and let their personalities shine to our listeners in Countdown to Kickoff.

For a second straight year, my labor of love Cut Traded Fired Retired Podcast won Best Radio Podcast. I had some incredible guests in 2025 who told very raw and emotional stories. Thanks specifically to Montee Ball, Tyrone Braxton, Dan Hinote, Lisa Van Goor, Charlie Blackmon and Keith Bishop who were in my CBA entry. The pod has been on a bit of a sabbatical this year but it’s coming back. There are too many more great people to still talk to and their stories should be heard.

The night was made even better seeing my old 9News pals, meeting some award winning CSU Rams and hanging with my favorite girl!

Two Vegas trips in 3 weeks and both felt like jackpots! 🎰 Congratulations to our long time friend Ryun Williams and his CSU Women’s Basketball team for winning the Mountain West Conference Tournament and punching a ticket to the Big Dance! We love supporting this team and couldn’t be happier for Ryun, his family, coaches, players and their support systems. It takes a village to make a champion.

Vegas was a small world and I saw a lot of familiar faces. Some I haven’t seen in a while and others I am thankful to see often. Winning feelings all around… which doesn’t happen often when Leaving Las Vegas!

Go Rams! 🐏

Last year I suggested an award idea to Sportswomen of Colorado to honor the OG of women in Colorado sports media, Marcia Neville. Not only did they create the Marcia Neville Community Champion award, but the sneaky folks at the SWOC pulled off a double surprise at their banquet: Marcia learned about it and I became the first recipient. 😳 My point of suggesting the award was to recognize the talents and accomplishments of women in sports media and supporter of women sports because we have so many in our state. I am very humbled to win this. There are many who deserve this honor, and they will be honored through the years!

The surprise came midway through emceeing the banquet. I was told to go grab a glass of water while Abby Waner made a special presentation. Good thing I didn’t go to the restroom 😂

The SWOC banquet is always inspiring and uplifting. I love getting to talk about, see and work alongside so many fabulous women, especially on International Women’s Day! Congrats to all the award winners and thank you to Jenn and all the great (sly) people at SWOC!

Anytime I get the chance to help players tell their story and talk about the good they are doing in the community, I’m all in. I’ve emceed Scouting Colorado’s annual breakfast for several years and when they told me Garett Bolles would be this year‘s guest, I replied “he’ll be fantastic”. He was.

72 has come such a long way as a player, but more significantly as a person. For 30 minutes he answered my questions in front 600+ adults and kids and gave raw insight into his life struggles, perseverance and how he gives back now. Bonus: he provided inspiration to many when relaying he earned his Eagle Scout in 2008. Always learn something new from GB. 😊

Another successful breakfast for Scouting Colorado!

Vegas. Two wins: Def Leppard and CSU Men’s BBall. Still reliving the Def Leppard show through my camera roll and sharing a lot here. Trying not to be “that concert girl” but I can’t help it 🫣 My first time seeing them was almost 38 years to the date (swipe for the ticket stub) and I was about the same distance at this show as I was then. They filmed the Pour Some Sugar On Me video at Big Mac in ‘88. It’s always been a core teenage memory. Now I have a core mid-50’s memory. All the hits, covers and Joe in the crowd. What a show and what a performance. Thank you Joe, Rick, Phil, Viv & Rick for still entertaining all the old folks… even though the plastic cup of wine that I drank through a straw cost more than double my ticket in 1988!! 😂
