2026 Colorado real estate myth #1: inventory is about to flood the market and prices are going to crash. I hear this from both buyers and sellers, but more listings does not always mean a crash. Many Colorado homeowners are still locked into low mortgage rates, so unless they really need to move, they may not be rushing to sell.

. No we sell homes in any condition and any age. Not every buyer is skipping older homes, but in Colorado, a lot of buyers are already stretched financially before the projects even start. New builds and fully updated homes feel safer when the budget is tight. So that’s not me trying to sell new homes, just trying to show what buyers are thinking now.
