Creating Community means embracing different perspectives, showing up for one another, and ensuring everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. These everyday actions help foster a culture of belonging where people can thrive. When we invest in meaningful connections,
we strengthen collaboration, spark innovation, and create opportunities for everyone to contribute their best.

This month, challenge yourself to take one small step toward building community. Reach out to a new colleague, celebrate someone’s success, or simply take time to connect. These moments matter more than we realize. At BH, we’re creating a workplace where everyone belongs. 💙

Now we’d love to hear from you!

What is one action you’ll take this month to help create a stronger sense of community at your organization?

An inclusive culture isn’t built in a single meeting, training, or initiative. It’s built in the everyday choices we make, the conversations we have, the people we invite in, the perspectives we seek to understand, and the way we make others feel when they
show up as their authentic selves.

When people feel seen, heard, valued, and respected, they don’t just belong; they contribute, collaborate, innovate, and thrive. That’s the power of an inclusive culture.

As we celebrate inclusive cultures this month at BH, we’re reminded that every one of us has a role to play. Leadership isn’t the only driver of culture. Every interaction is an opportunity to create connections, build trust, and remind someone that their voice matters.

The strongest organizations recognize that inclusion isn’t just a value; it’s a daily practice. It’s how we strengthen teams, inspire innovation, and create workplaces where people and businesses can grow together.

Let’s continue choosing inclusion one conversation, one decision, and one act of belonging at a time.

How are you helping create a culture where people feel they truly belong?

On Friday, we honor Juneteenth (a portmanteau of June and nineteenth), also known as “America’s Second Independence Day” or Freedom Day. Juneteenth is the longest-running African American holiday, celebrating freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of Black Americans to our communities and our country.

Juneteenth marks the moment in 1865 when the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, it serves as both a celebration and a reflection: a reminder of how far we’ve come, and the continued responsibility we share to advance equity, understanding, and opportunity for all.

At BH, inclusion means recognizing the history that shapes our present and committing to a culture where every voice is valued, every story matters, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

This week, we celebrate freedom, honor history, and recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in belonging.

❤️💛💚

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and this year, BH is spotlighting Men’s Mental Health Awareness 2.0. Our goal is to go beyond awareness and focus on practical strategies, personal accountability, and inclusive support.

Men often face unique pressures that can impact mental health workplace expectations, societal norms, and personal responsibilities. By creating safe spaces to talk openly and by providing tools to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional well-being, we can foster
a workplace where all people feel supported and empowered.

Prioritizing mental health is not just about coping with stress; it’s about building resilience, staying connected, and creating a supportive environment for yourself and others. 💙

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate the history, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. Across the country, Pride Month honors the ongoing journey toward equality, dignity, and belonging for all individuals, while also recognizing the importance of creating inclusive spaces where everyone can live and work authentically.

At BH, inclusion is a core part of who we are. Pride Month provides an opportunity to celebrate the diversity that strengthens our organization while reflecting on how we continue to foster a workplace and support communities where everyone feels respected,
valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves. When people feel safe, seen, and supported, it strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and deepens the connections that help our teams and communities thrive. As we recognize Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an environment where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to succeed.

Throughout the month, we encourage team members to learn more about the history of Pride, support LGBTQ+ inclusion, and engage in meaningful conversations about belonging and allyship. Small actions such as listening, learning, and showing support can make a meaningful difference in fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed.

Inclusion at BH means valuing perspectives and experiences that each person brings to the table. By learning from one another and celebrating diversity within our workplace and communities, we continue building a culture rooted in respect, belonging, and success. 💚

To round out the month of AAPI celebrations at BH, meet Melissa Medeiros, a Community Manager at The Ivy Residences at Health Village in Orlando, FL.

Happy AAPI Heritage Month!

This year’s theme for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together,” selected by the Federal Asian Pacific American Council, is a call to action. It reminds us that unity is more than standing side by side; it’s about intentionally building connections, honoring shared and individual stories, and showing up for one another in meaningful ways.

Unity means recognizing that our differences are not barriers, they are strengths. When we create space for diverse voices, we unlock innovation, deepen understanding, and build cultures where people feel seen, heard, and valued. It’s in that collective strength
that true belonging takes root.

Throughout our nation’s history, AAPI individuals have helped shape our society through innovation, leadership, service, and cultural influence. This month provides an opportunity to honor those contributions while celebrating the diverse traditions, languages,
and stories that strengthen our communities.

Throughout the month, we’ll be celebrating some of our wildly awesome AAPI teammates in our series “Faces of BH.” First up is Paulina Ngo, a Regional Manager in our Midwest region. 🩷
