That, my friends, is an underground utility line bored right through someone’s tile sewer line! This didn’t cause issues YET but it definitely would have.
I urge my Buyers to always get a sewer scope because these are costly issues particularly if sewage would have backed up into the finished basement!!
With utilities quickly getting run underground, this is beginning to be a common issue. This sewer tech knew of 4 others in the area that had to be replaced. Fortunately, the utility installers have a compensation program for remedied & replaced lines.
An average sewer scope costs about $200.
