The average rate on a 30-year mortgage in the U.S. fell this week to its lowest level in 19 months.

The rate fell to 6.20% from 6.35% last week, mortgage buyer Freddie Mac said Thursday. A year ago, the rate averaged 7.18%.

The average rate is now the lowest it's been since February 12, 2023, when it was 6.12%.

Location or Condition? 👋 Location vs condition is mostly a matter of personal preference. 🤷 However, I suggest considering both when choosing a new home 🏡 . Your location can affect factors such as accessibility, safety, and proximity to amenities, but is often more expensive. Home condition can affect the cost of maintenance and repairs, and nice-to-have features that you just can’t live without, but generally speaking you get more bang for your buck if you are willing to compromise on location just a bit.
