Good morning and happy Monday from The Islander! ☀️🌴 It’s shaping up to be a beautiful beach day. The water feels amazing, the beach is beautiful, and the chairs are being set up right now!

We’re reopening to guests this afternoon, and we can’t wait to welcome you back! We’ve planned a fun week of activities:

🎨 Tuesday: Airbrush tattoos & hair wraps, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
🎶 Wednesday: Live music with Bobby D, 6–9 p.m.
🏖️ Thursday: Free sandcastle building lessons for the kids & sand sculpture with Sand Effects, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
🎬 Friday: Dive-in movie, 6 p.m.

Poolside activities are at the east pool, and Thursday’s sandcastle fun is on the beach!

Alan’s back at it! ☀️ This morning, he’s the first one out here getting the chairs back out to the beach—and we love seeing things come back to life!

It’s all hands on deck today as we get the Islander ready to welcome guests back tomorrow, Monday! The storm damage was limited to the grounds around the resort, and our building is fine. We’re busy getting everything ready for your return 💙

As you can see, the beach is beautiful, there’s plenty of sand, and preparations are already underway bright and early this morning! 🏖️

Also Alan does read your comments and he’s grateful for all of you and your kind words. We are all excited to see you guys again 💙

Guest Update 💙 We know many of you have questions about your upcoming reservations, and we will continue providing updates as we learn more.

All reservation-specific updates will be sent by email to the email address listed on your reservation. Please be sure to check your inbox, as well as your spam or junk folder, for messages from The Islander.

Because each reservation may be affected differently depending on the timing of reopening, email will allow us to provide the most accurate information for your individual stay.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team works to assess the property, restore operations and safely welcome everyone back.

The Islander is okay. 💙

We’re thankful to report that The Islander made it through the storm safely. We are currently without power and have some cleanup and minor storm-related damage to take care of, but overall we are very grateful.

Our team will be working to assess the property, clean up debris and get everything back in order as soon as conditions allow.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, prayed for us and sent messages of support. We appreciate our Islander family more than you know.

We’ll continue to share updates as power is restored and cleanup progresses.

Alan’s job goes well beyond setting up your beach chairs! 💪 He’s been hard at work all morning moving chairs and umbrellas off the beach in preparation for hurricane Isaias—and that’s a LOT of chairs.

There’s plenty of work behind the scenes, and we’re grateful for all he does here at The Islander 👏
