So, this past week has been pretty funny for my husband and I.

We have just felt so blessed in trusting that we’d figure life out on the Emerald Coast as our life keeps changing. The trust in God was step 1.

Finding ways to be a kid again is really the only other step. If you trust god, why not have fun while you experience the process?

Growing up, my family vacationed in Destin and I would even go shopping at the Silver Sands Premium Outlets in Mirmar Beach before the school year with my mom and sister.

We spent our high school years in Enterprise, Alabama. There wasn’t shopping as good anywhere close besides the outlets.

Needless to say, I feel so thankful to be here.

My husband however grew up vacationing at beaches where the outlets and fast life was a bit farther away. At least an hour.

It was slow and he spent all of his time in the water a week a year from the time he was a baby until high school.

For both of us, as kids, we always asked why we couldn’t live we the beach.

We didn’t get it.

We still don’t.

And we slept late because we spent the entire day working to become professional boogie boarders.

Why not be a kid again? You can figure anything out.

SOF Week is the largest annual gathering of the special operations community in the country, hosted by USSOCOM and the Global SOF Foundation in Tampa. It brings together special operators, military leadership, and defense innovators from around the world — the premier event of the year for anyone connected to the SOF community.
It’s in Florida because its the premiere state for Veterans. Free, peaceful and adventurous.

My clients have me a lifesaver, but usually they are the ones that have done stuff like this before!

I think our Military deserve the best life possible after service. That’s what my husband and I have been chasing and it would be hard for us without living on the Emerald Coast.

It really can be that simple.

Life can get tough and it’s too short to live somewhere you don’t love.

If it’s living in the mountains or watching my husband skim-board all day on the beach, do what you enjoy today!

Tomorrow isn’t promised.
