I hope all the moms had an amazing Mother’s Day yesterday.

After going and seeing my kids yesterday at their jobs I did some reflecting. About a month after Hagen was born, someone asked me, “What’s it like being a mom?”

At the time, I honestly don’t remember exactly what I said. I was running on hormones, excitement, love, and very little sleep.

But now, 22 years later, I know the answer.

Being a mom means loving deeper than you ever thought possible. It means fighting through every season of life for the people who call you Mom. It means learning strength, patience, sacrifice, grace, and unconditional love all at once.

These four kids have taught me more about life than I could ever teach them. They made me softer and stronger at the same time. They gave my life purpose beyond myself.

Motherhood isn’t always easy, but it has been the greatest privilege of my life. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there loving, sacrificing, guiding, and showing up every single day.

I spent 1 night camping at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin with my son and our friends. The experience of camping on the beach was delightful. Jason Jaume cooked an outstanding crawfish boil🦞,which we consumed throughout the night. The Plank Princess made sure we did our daily plank even though we were on staycation 😂😘. The weather was in the high 70's 🌞 the day we arrived and cooled down to the high 60's by morning, making it a perfect spring camping trip.
