💙 Destin and Emerald Coast friends, here’s your Friday morning update.

Hurricane Isaias • October 9
7 a.m. Central advisory

Isaias now has sustained winds of 110 mph and is moving north-northeast toward the northern Gulf Coast. Landfall is expected tonight or early Saturday, but dangerous conditions can arrive well before then.

Destin remains under hurricane and storm surge warnings. Please finish preparations promptly and follow evacuation instructions for your location.

• Charge phones and battery packs.
• Keep medications, important documents and pet supplies ready.
• Stay out of the Gulf and never drive through floodwater.
• Check on neighbors who may need help.
• If you’re traveling here, contact your lodging provider before leaving.

💙 An evening update for our Destin community.

7 p.m. Central advisory

Isaias now has sustained winds of 100 mph, up from 85 mph this morning. More strengthening is expected before northern Gulf Coast landfall late Friday or early Saturday.

Destin remains under hurricane and storm surge warnings. Dangerous conditions can arrive before the center does, so please finish preparations tonight and follow evacuation instructions. Okaloosa’s coastal Zones A and B remain under mandatory evacuation.

Isaias has sustained winds of 85 mph, with northern Gulf Coast landfall forecast late Friday or early Saturday. Destin is under hurricane and storm surge warnings. Please complete preparations today.

📍 Mandatory evacuation for Okaloosa’s coastal Zones A and B begins at noon today. Visitors are also being asked to leave the forecast impact area.
