One mistake I see so many STR hosts make…

Assuming guests will “figure it out.”

Guests don’t want to guess.
They want to be guided.

Most mid-stay questions, complaints, and bad reviews don’t come from a bad property. They come from unclear expectations.

That’s why guest communication is one of the biggest leverage points in a short-term rental.

Every message you send is shaping the guest’s experience:

• how confident they feel checking in
• whether they reach out when something feels off
• how they think about the stay when it’s time to leave a review

We don’t wait for guests to ask questions.
We answer them before they come up.

That means:

• clear signage in the home
• intentional wording in every message
• automated timing so nothing is missed
• subtle cues that reinforce a 5-star experience

It’s not pushy. It’s proactive.

And it’s one of the biggest reasons we consistently earn 5-star reviews without living in our inbox.
