A nod to the past returns to the Detroit skyline. 🇺🇸

First draped across the original J.L. Hudson Department Store in 1923, the iconic Hudson’s flag became a downtown tradition and symbol of civic pride for generations.

This Fourth of July weekend and in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, The Flag at Hudson’s is once again displayed on Woodward Avenue for all to enjoy.

Perched on the 12th floor of Hudson's Detroit, Pine Hall brings a bold new rooftop cocktail tavern to the Bedrock portfolio.

Designed around the people, culture and unmistakable energy of Detroit, Pine Hall blends the city’s rich history with a lively atmosphere built for memorable nights out.

Inspired by the historic Pine Room inside the original J.L. Hudson Department Store, the space pays tribute to the legacy of Hudson’s through warm wood tones, vintage-inspired details, graphic typography, local artwork and music programming curated by Detroit DJs.

Opening June 11, Pine Hall is set to become Detroit’s go-to destination for pre-game cocktails, after-work meetups, late-night outings and leisurely dinners above the city.

This weekend, we welcomed families into a new tradition at our very first Mother’s Day Brunch at The Department at Hudson’s. Guests enjoyed a beautiful buffet brunch experience featuring decadent desserts, fresh seasonal offerings and thoughtfully curated bites that left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. From floral bouquet building stations to sweet treats, permanent jewelry, candles and photo moments, every detail was designed to celebrate the incredible women who make life beautiful.

This brunch was inspired by cherished memories while creating new moments for today’s families. Seeing guests arrive in festive attire, sharing laughter across generations and celebrating motherhood together made the day truly unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration and to all the mothers, grandmothers, daughters and families who made our first Mother’s Day Brunch so meaningful.
