If you’ve been driving by Baker Road near I-94 and wondering what’s going in, it’s Encore at Heritage Woods Village — a new 105-acre development in Scio Township just outside Dexter. Plans call for 149 attached units, 82 duplex units, and an approximately 85,000-square-foot senior living component, with about 61 acres of open space built into the project. It’s being described as an age-targeted, aging-in-place community designed around lower-maintenance living and multiple levels of care.
A lot is changing around Dexter, and this is definitely one of the bigger developments to watch.
