🧡As part of our ongoing Hexagon Cares initiative, we’re honored to share that our 2nd quarter donation has been made to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care.

Founded in 1982 as Joliet Area Community Hospice, Lightways has grown into an independent nonprofit serving adults, children, and families throughout Northern Illinois with hospice and palliative care, serious illness care, pediatric services, and grief support. Their mission is rooted in something both simple and incredibly meaningful: providing guidance, comfort, dignity, and unwavering support during some of life’s most difficult moments. Their goal is to help patients and families have more time together, with less pain, less fear, and more joy.

For several members of the Hexagon family, the work Lightways does is also deeply personal. They have cared for the parents, relatives, and loved ones of people within our company, offering compassion and support when it was needed most. Being able to give something back to an organization that has given so much to families in our community feels especially meaningful.

Each quarter, Hexagon Cares allows our team to direct a portion of our profits back into the communities we serve. Our agents nominate and vote for organizations doing important, hands-on work, and this quarter, Lightways was an overwhelmingly popular recipient.

This selection reflects our tremendous respect for the nurses, caregivers, counselors, volunteers, and support professionals who walk beside patients and families through serious illness, end-of-life care, and grief. Their work requires remarkable skill, strength, and compassion, and we are proud to support their mission.
