🔑 What do the program designations mean?
• LIHTC — 60%: Your household’s qualifying annual income must be at or below the applicable 60% Area Median Income limit.
• HIF — 50/80: Your household’s qualifying annual income must be at or below the applicable 80% Area Median Income limit, while the unit’s maximum rent is based on the 50% rent limit.
What is required to qualify?
✅ Complete an application and provide information for everyone who will live in the home.
✅ Disclose income and assets and provide the documents needed to verify program eligibility.
✅ Meet the income limit for your household size and the available unit’s program designation.
✅ Meet applicable student eligibility rules. LIHTC households made up entirely of full-time students generally must qualify for an exception.
✅ Meet the property’s rental screening and occupancy requirements.
These figures are annual household income limits—not rent amounts. Household size includes adults and children. Final eligibility is determined through the application and verification process.
