🏡 Don’t Skip the Home Inspection

You found a home you love, your offer was accepted, and you’re already imagining where the furniture will go—but there are still a few important steps before closing day!

One of those is the home inspection.

A home can look absolutely beautiful during a showing and still have issues you wouldn’t notice during a typical walkthrough. An inspection can provide a closer look at many of the home’s major components and help identify potential concerns before you move forward.

Depending on the property and your contract, this could include things like:

🔍 Roof and exterior
🔍 HVAC systems
🔍 Plumbing
🔍 Electrical
🔍 Foundation and structural components
🔍 Appliances and other visible systems

And here’s something important: an inspection isn’t about finding a “perfect” house. Almost every home will have something noted on the inspection report—even newer homes.

It’s about understanding what you’re purchasing and having more information to make an informed decision.

A typical Saturday in the life of a real estate agent… but make it very me. 😂🏡🐴

Started the morning hosting an open house — which means turning on approximately 847 lights, having some great conversations, and then turning those same 847 lights back off. 😂💡

Then it was time for a little Facebook Marketplace pickup because I can never pass up a good find — this time, a few gorgeous glass French doors that I already have plans for. 🤩

And we ended the day back at home picking up the start of our horse fencing and checking in on all the farm animals. 🐴🐓

Some days I’m in heels showing houses, some days I’m hauling fencing and Marketplace finds… and most Saturdays, apparently, I’m doing both. 😂

Just another day of balancing real estate, farm life, family & all the projects in between. 🤍
