Did You Know? Local Quirks of Living in Summit County! 🏔️✨

1️⃣ Air conditioning is rare: Most homes here don’t have A/C! Fresh mountain air and an open window usually do the trick, though some newer developments are starting to include cooling systems.

2️⃣ Post Office runs are the norm: Doorstep mail delivery isn’t standard here, most residents pick up their mail at the local post office (with just a few select neighborhoods receiving neighborhood box delivery).

3️⃣ “Spring” is Mud Season: Traditional spring doesn’t quite exist in the high country. We call it mud season, and it can easily snow right through June! ❄️

4️⃣ I-70 planning is an art form: We schedule our travel and weekend getaways strictly around peak ski traffic and summer camping rushes.
